About Grown and Gathered
Background
Grown and Gathered came into being whilst I was looking for work that could fit around my caring responsibilities. I was pressing flowers and seaweed to create pieces for my own home, and that of family and friends, and tentatively began to list some of my artworks online.
It has grown slowly from there, learning through a combination of experimentation, research and collaboration, how to preserve a wide variety of flowers and seaweeds.
Many of the pieces of art I create are bespoke, including preserving wedding bouquets, and memorial pieces. I can also make something for you from flowers from your garden, or mine, or source them from one of my local flower farms.
If you would like to learn about pressing flowers yourself, I run a number of workshops at local venues throughout the year, and also on request.
